We got a lot of commitments early on and sometimes there are some other good guys out there, then you have some guys that might be changing their mind, you just try to manage it until you get there and get the best players.
Chase Goodbread: Peek fits mold of NFL tight ends
That quote comes from Nick Saban and I find it pretty telling, specifically with regard to the Craig Sanders situation a few months ago. We go out and get a commitment from a highly-touted prospect, but we never really stop recruiting other guys (see Alfy Hill). You just keep re-evaluating your prospects and actively pursuing the best-of-the-best, and if you land a commitment from someone higher up and the original commitment doesn't like it, well that's kind of his problem at that point for him to sort out.
