On the surface, the nation's No. 5 cornerback looks solidly committed to Alabama; he's been pledged to the Crimson Tide since last April and he hasn't taken any other visits in months. However, Florida State still believes that they have a shot with Fitzpatrick as a result of an early October official visit to Tallahassee. Since then, Fitzpatrick has stayed in contact with Florida State defensive coordinator Charles Kelly, leaving the door cracked just a little bit for the Seminoles to make a late move with the 6'1, 198-pounder.
There has obviously been a lot of smoke around Fitzpatrick, but he has remained committed to Alabama. Cross thine fingers.

Ridley ran away with this year’s award for best all-star camp catch. At The Opening in July, the five-star prospect out of Coconut Creek, Fla., sprinted by a defender, turned his head and snatched the ball with one hand. Ridley wasn’t wearing pads, but Alabama fans must be excited about the top-rated wideout in this year’s class. That’s especially true after coordinator Lane Kiffin helped Heisman Trophy finalist Amari Cooper break multiple program records in 2014.
If this guy comes close to living up to his potential we might be able to get production similar to Cooper's freshman campaign. Whoever the new QB is certainly won't be short on receiving talent to throw to.

Ask John Schlarman, the offensive line coach at Kentucky, why he recruits Alabama and he'll give you a similar answer. "Football is obviously very important to people throughout the state of Alabama," he says. "The big key is you are going to get a kid who football is important to."
Alabama consistently puts out among the highest number of blue chip recruits per capita. Culture has an awful lot to do with that.

Blake Sims is a quarterback and he's not planning on swapping positions any time soon. The Alabama graduate's quest to play at the next level got a boost with an invitation to the NFL's pro scouting combine next month in Indianapolis. Posting a photo of the combine logo on his Instagram account with the caption "Invited!" Sims will have another chance to work out for the league's scouts.
Glad he's getting his shot, but I don't see him as an NFL QB. Good luck Blake, and don't be too stubborn if somebody asks to see you backpedal.

On Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots will bring three more former Alabama players to the Super Bowl -- Seattle guard James Carpenter and wide receiver Kevin Norwood and New England linebacker Dont'a Hightower.
Something tells me that potential recruits might be reminded of the Alabama players in the upcoming Super Bowl.
McCleney was a Top 10 finalist for the award last season and is one of 18 juniors on this season's list. She is also one of eight players on the list who will play for Team USA this summer. A total of eight SEC schools are represented with a combined total of 13 student-athletes on the list. Arizona leads all schools with four representatives, followed by Georgia, Michigan, Oklahoma and Oregon with three each.
