Alabama Football Recruiting Update: Academic Casualty Opens Up Another Slot

As long had been rumored, 3.8 star* DT Akial Byers will not be a part of the Alabama Class of 2017 due to failure to academically qualifying. The Fayetteville, AR native will go the juco route, likely Mississippi Gulf Coast CC.

The sunny side of this story is that the Crimson Tide can sign someone better. Alabama has four other defensive linemen on their radar:
