Long and lean, this Texas WR will be a mismatch for almost anyone.

The first thing you notice about Alabama early enrollee Tyrell Shavers is how long and lean he is. In Texas, they might call him a tall drink of water. In 2017 SEC play, they will call him a match-up nightmare. At 6’6” and 202 lbs., Shavers will tower over almost every other player on the field. If that is not enough, Shavers has run a verified 40 time of 4.38.

In three seasons for Lewisville (Texas) High School, the outside receiver caught 78 passes for 1,313 yards and 22 touchdowns, averaging 16.8 yards per catch. As a senior, he accounted for 890 total yards of offense and 14 touchdowns. He caught 27 passes for 397 yards and seven touchdowns on 14.7 yards per catch, while rushing for 277 yards and three scores on 6.6 yards per carry. Shavers also completed 11 of 22 passes for 216 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. Think ArDarius Stewart, but taller. [Have I mentioned his height?]

He might remind you of former Texas A&M and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers Pro Bowl wide receiver Mike Evans. Don’t believe me? Click Below.
