OC Search Update: At least we know someone interviewed...

Still no word on a hire, but at least we have confirmation that both were in Tuscaloosa yesterday:

University of Alabama football coach Nick Saban interviewed two candidates Monday for the vacant offensive coordinator position.

Rutgers offensive coordinator John McNulty and Fresno State offensive coordinator Jim McElwain spent the day in Tuscaloosa speaking with Saban and receiving a tour of the facilities, multiple sources told The Birmingham News.

Both candidates have spent one year calling plays at their respective schools.

McNulty spent seven years coaching in the NFL before he was hired at Rutgers. In his fourth year with the Scarlet Knights, he moved from quarterbacks and receivers coach to offensive coordinator. During 2007, Rutgers scored 421 points and amassed 5,841 yards - both school records.

McElwain coached receivers and special teams for Louisville and Michigan State. In 2006, he was the Oakland Raiders quarterbacks coach, then took over the offense at Fresno State in 2007.

In his only season as the Bulldogs' offensive coordinator, McElwain helped Fresno State flip from 4-8 in 2006 to 9-4 in 2007.

And if you want some to look at some stats for each team:
