ESPN Bracketology Yep. You see right. We're in ESPN's official bracket projection for this week. Don't get too worked up though. ESPN's resident bracket expert, Joe Lunardi, has it as long-standing policy to include the #1 team in each conference's standings as the presumptive winner of that conference's automatic bid. To reiterate: this does not mean ESPN is projecting us to get an at-large bid; rather, they simply have us slotted in as the SEC tournament winner since we are currently #1 in the league. I hesitated to post this at all, but given the brutal stretch of SEC games we're about to see, this may be the only time all year we see our name in a projected bracket. So savor the moment, and appreciate how far we've come since the shipwreck in the Virgin Islands.
